Mikey Joins on Guitar!

After the release of Alyson Avenues third album, CHANGES, Tony Rothla has left the band and Michael Nilsson (a.k.a Mikey) has joined as the new guitar player.

Mikey has previously played guitar in Nasty Idols (the Swedish sleaze gods) and various other local bands in the Helsingborg area.

"Since Mikey played on the bonus tracks of the Japan Release of Changes, we had the opportunity to get to know him more closely", Niclas Olsson says in a statement.

"We liked the energy in his playing style and we think he can push the boundaries of our music even more",  Thomas Löyskä adds.

"I´m proud to be a part of Alyson Avenue. To be able to play all the great old Alyson Avenue songs and also be a part in developing the next album is really inspiring", Mikey says.
 
The band is now in intense rehearsals, preparing for some still undisclosed Live Gigs planned in early 2012.

We are very happy to inform you that our 3:rd record is done!

The album, called CHANGES, will be released through our record label Avenue of Allies on the 10:th of June world wide. We are extremly happy with the outcome of the record and big part of that owes to Chris Laney who has been co-producer on the record. Chris has previously produced H.E.A.T., CRAZY LIXX, BRIAN ROBERTSON e.t.c. and has done a great job on the record.

We are also blessed by a lot of guests on the record including a duet with Michael Bormann and a blazing guitar solo by Rob Marcello (Danger Danger, Marcello - Vestry).

Anette Olzon (Nightwish, ex-Alyson Avenue), Tommy Stråhle and Mike Andersson (Cloudscpae, Planet Alliance) has all contributed with vocal parts on the record.

Mats Edstöm (Shiva) has written one song on the album and Fredrik Berg (Street Talk, Bloodbound) has co-written a song with Niclas.

A big thanks also to Raimo & Sanna at "Photo by Gedda" for a great job.

We are extremly eager for you to hear CHANGES and can´t wait to the 10:th of June when it will be avaliable to you all!

Friends, we are happy to inform you that we are currently deeply involved in the recording of Alyson Avenue record Nr:3!

The new material has us all fired up and we can not wait to present it to you! We will also have some guest apperances on the album that we hope will exite you...

We expect to be ready with our recording session later this year for a release early 2011.

Rehearsals and Live Gigs

Over the last weeks Alyson Avenue has been in hectic rehersals to prepare for Live Gigs. Progress has been great and discussions with various organizers are ongoing and we will soon be able to announce the first dates and venues where we will play.

The Stars Have Aligned!

After a great interest from female vocalists around the world Alyson Avenue has been completed with a fifth member .

Arabella Vitanc, a hidden Swedish jewel, is the vocalist who will join Alyson Avenue on lead vocals. Arabellas voice will not only do justice to the old Alyson Avenue material but she will also be key in the development of the new and upcoming songs we are currently busy working on.

Alyson Avenue would like to extend a BIG thank you to all vocalists who participated in our search for the next lead vocalist of Alyson Avenue. It has been amazing to see the amount of talented singers there is "out there" and we are very humble about the amount of singers who wanted to join!

Yesterrock Re-Releases Alyson Avenues two first Albums!

Fans all over the world has asked us where they could buy the two first Alyson Avenue Albums, "Presence of Mind" and "Omega". The original print of these two albums has been sold out for quite some time now but we are now extremly happy to announce that Alyson Avenue has teamed up with Yesterrock to re-release Alyson Avenues two first albums!

The re-release "Presence Of Mind" compilation is a copy of the initial album released in 2000. The new "Omega" compilation is a totally reworked album where a lot of tracks has been re-recorded to better be in line with how the band wants the album to sound like compared to the original 2004 release of Omega. The new "Omega" compilation also has added material in the form of 5 demo songs that did not make it in to the original release for different reasons.

The albums will be released 2009-06-05
